Mango Pineapple Chutney-Holiday Delight

Mango Pineapple Chutney is one of my favorite side dishes to serve with my main course. It is delicious, delightful and has always been a winner at any meal I have served.

1 Whole Onion
1 Firm Apple
2 cloves of garlic
1 cup diced pineapple
1 cup sugar,white,brown, turbinado
1 firm-ripe mango
2 bay leaves
2 tbls olive oil
1 1/2tsp powdered ginger
1tsp cumin
1/2tsp cinnamon
pinch of sage 1/4tsp
sea-salt large pinch-
season to taste
2tbls balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup dried currants or raisins

    I think as a wife, we are always pleased when our husbands, clean their plates,and after the pan is empty ask for more. Just his way of saying I love you I guess?

    lmao! 3 jars! Tell your hubby I’d **** to be stranded on a desert Island with only one jar left between us lol

    Sounds like my husband he could eat you out of house and home lol

    Yes, use the dark basalmic vinegar, mine was clear because I ran out basalmic, so you can use apple cider vinegar too. Remember keep the spices on the light side, some people love chutney and others **** it. My husband ate all 3 jars of the chutney in one day, so we know where he stands. C

    I never had chutney before, apples and onions…whoa who thought that up? lol I hear its popular and tons of folks love it so I gotta give this one a try.

    C I saw you added basalmic vinegar, I have the dark basalmic in my pantry can I use that because i notice yours was the clear version, are the tastes the same?

    You make eveything look so darn delicious, I get HUNGRY when I watch your food vids lol

    I know what you mean, I’ve had chutney that was heavy with cloves, when I was a little girl I couldn’t eat it. It turned me off to chutney until I wan an adult. So I make it the way I like it, without cloves.

    My mom always made chutney for the holidays, I really like it! I’ve had good chutney and like it not too spicy. This looks delicious, especially the mango-yum.
