This is a huge effect on the environment. This destroys environments all over, rainforest, grassland, savannah. This is also a huge waste of energy. The amount of energy (in grass or other vegetation) it takes to produce a cow is enough to feed many times more people than the meat from that cow could. The trash associated with fast food is also astounding- all that packaging. Fast food is where a large amount of meat from cattle ranching goes.
