I looked on other sites, and followed the links that some of the Yahoo Answers answers had in them, and the information I found did say the same things the people online said.
I asked the woman studying with me if we could go over the prophecies concerning Jesus, and especially respond to the claims that Jesus could not be the messiah, because I am really confused by it all, and was just getting more confused as I looked in to it on my own.
She got a little angry and said that she is only studying the book with me, and that if I am going to be online looking up apostate information then she isn’t going to study with me at all.
I didn’t mean to offend her, I was only hoping that I could get help in finding out more about what I read. I didn’t think Yahoo Answers was considered an apostate site, because there are many Jehovah’s Witnesses here who answer questions and ask things themselves.
I am interested in still studying the book, but that does not mean I don’t want to get answers to the messiah issue now that it has me confused.
Thanks, I didn’t realize it before some of you pointed it out that I could have phrased my question better.
Debbie and Aimee,
I am not saying that I refuse to believe that Jesus is the messiah. What I am saying is that I am confused by Jews saying he didn’t do what the messiah was supposed to.
Are you saying that I shouldn’t study because I am confused? In your opinion is asking a question meaning that I am not worth the time?
The suggestion that I should study with a Jewish person is just not what I had expected to hear. I find it hurtful that you just assume that I don’t believe, having questions does not mean that I don’t believe or that I am not worth the conductor’s time.
