Yea, I know this is “old old school” and not really looking for an answer. However, I’m “sharing”: I was in the position to meet alot of rock groups in the ’60’s in New Orleans at Tulane Stadium (ain’t there no-mo). I was too shy (and stupid) to ask for autographs….wish that was a do-over! So…I met Jimmy Hendrix, The Cream, Sly & the Family Stone, The Animals, Moody blues, The Turtles, and a few more that I don’t remember. Very cool to be asked to party with these ancients, eh? Thanks for letting me walk through memory lane!

I watched part of an A&E biography on Tommy Lee yesterday, and it got me thinking : are there any true rock stars left?

When I think of “rock stars”, I think of someone who truly goes against the grain, and lives their life to excess regularly. They tend to have a presence that is larger than life, and they also cast a huge shadow. Those that fit that definition (in my mind) all seem to have settled into middle age, or older, at this point. I couldn’t think of one person that has come on the scene in the last 15 years or so that fits the bill.
